Reagan’s PAC Endorses

Nick Freitas for U.S. Senate in Virginia

Decorated Veteran, Conservative Champion Will Shake Up Washington

ALEXANDRIA, VA— Today, Citizens for the Republic PAC, proudly announces that it has endorsed Army Veteran and Virginia Delegate Nick Freitas for U.S. Senate. He is challenging Democratic incumbent and 2016 Vice-Presidential nominee Tim Kaine.

“Nick Freitas has served his country with pride and distinction as a member of the Army’s Special Forces as well as a delegate of Virginia,” said Craig Shirley, Chairman of Citizens for the Republic PAC (CFTRPAC) and Ronald Reagan biographer. “We have every confidence he will bring to the Senate the same honor and integrity he has demonstrated through his career.”

Nick Freitas joined the U.S. Army shortly after the September 11th terrorist attacks. He later earned a slot with the Special Forces and was deployed to Iraq twice during his service, until being Honorably Discharged in 2009. Shortly after, he went to work with a service based veteran organization before running for the Virginia House of Delegates in 2015. He has been a leader in Richmond ever since.

“Nick has been a champion for conservative principles in the Virginia House of Delegates, including voting against Medicaid expansion. He has stood up to GOP leadership when necessary and consistently refuses to capitulate to the establishment. This is the kind of leader Virginia needs to do the same in Washington,” said Mr. Shirley.

Citizens for the Republic (www.CFTR.org) is a conservative grassroots organization dedicated to promoting the ideology and political philosophy of Ronald Reagan. Reagan established the original CFTR in 1977. In 2010, a group of Reagan stalwarts re-launched the organization. Its board includes Chairman Craig Shirley and Director Diana Banister.
